Stena Line Propeller Prize 2019 was awarded March 7th on the Innovation Day 19 – the annual innovation event in Karlskrona, Sweden. Winner in the category Maritime technology became Searis Technologies from Poland and winners in the category ICT became AllBinary from Karlskrona.
Innovation Day is an annual innovation event and the meeting place between companies, researchers, start-ups and public activities within Digital, eHealth and Maritime technology. Innovation Day 19 contained inspirational speakers, innovations in the Demo arena, matchmaking and Innovation Dinner with the distribution of the Stena Line Propeller Prize. Innovation Day is presented by Blue Science Park in collaboration with ALMI, Blekinge Business Incubator (BBI), Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), Karlskrona municipality, Stena Line and Region Blekinge.
Stena Line Propeller Prize is an entrepreneurial prize, established by Stena Line, which since 2015 has been awarded a young growth company in the ICT area, and a corresponding in the maritime technology area. The prize money is 100,000 SEK each. It is announced by Blue Science Park with award ceremony on Innovation Day. 2019, applications have come from several countries in the Baltic Sea region.
Winner – Maritime Technology category:
Searis Technologies, focuses on designing and producing USVs (Unmanned Surface Vehicles) for
hydrographic and scientific applications.
Winner – ICT category:
AllBinary is committed to helping cities and industries reap the full benefit of the Internet of Things
revolution offering both products (Senseview, All Safety) and services.
